About Me
How does learning music change the brain?
I study how musical training shapes brain structure, connectivity, and function, using multimodal
MRI and structural connectomics. I'm a PhD candidate in computational neuroscience at the Sagol
School of Neuroscience, Tel Aviv University, in Prof. Yaniv Assaf's lab.
Why music? I've played the trombone for over 20 years, which taught me first-hand how demanding
it is to master a complex skill, and motivates my use of music as a model for studying how the
brain learns.
