About Me
How does learning music change the brain?
I study how musical training shapes brain structure, connectivity, and function, using multimodal
MRI and structural connectomics. I'm a PhD candidate in computational neuroscience at the Sagol
School of Neuroscience, Tel Aviv University, in Prof. Yaniv Assaf's lab.
Why music? I've played the trombone for over a decade — an experience that gave me a first-hand
sense of how demanding it is to acquire a complex skill, and motivates my use of music as a model
for studying how the brain learns.
